Public Transportation:

  • The D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area is very well connected by public transportation. SHAPE NAC 2023 will be hosted almost exclusively within the Washington, D.C. geographical area, which has access to multiple metro lines and buses.

  • Ride-sharing is also widely available vis Uber, Lyft, etc.

  • We highly recommend getting a WMATA Metro card, which can be used on the metro, buses, circulators, trams, etc. Metro opens at 5 am during the week and 7 on the weekends, and runs until 3 am Friday and Saturday and midnight all other days. Rides start at $1.75 and max out at $5.90 with a SmarTrip card.
