Friday | Shaping my Identity | October 20

  • Registration will be at the Generator Hotel from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

  • Registration will be at the World Bank from 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM. Please bring a government issued ID for entrance to the World Bank.

  • Opening ceremony to welcome everyone and acknowledge all of our multifaceted identity dimensions. The World Bank Group will also be giving a Keynote.

  • A scavenger hunt with our Shaper Circle small groups around Downtown DC. Each group will have at least 1 DC Shaper to aid them. Each small group should make their way to the National Mall around 5:00 PM for the next activity.

  • Shaper Circle activity to further discuss and showcase our diversity with a human line graph.

  • Social reception with dinner, drinks, and live music!

Saturday | Shaping My Community | October 21

  • For those early risers with infinite batteries. There will be 2 tracks,. Track 1 will be a sunrise 5k run around the embassies and Georgetown. The other track will be yoga by a local yoga instructor.

  • A welcome orientation along with a panel of shapers.

  • Breakout session activity organized by the Climate Reality Project.

  • Lunch will be provided by DC Central Kitchen. We will have a Jeffersonian style luncheon, which consists of a set of questions to facilitate meaningful conversations to bond over food.

  • Shaper Circle discussion with several projects across 3 impact areas.

  • WEF Plenary that will feature a panel with shapers from different parts of the NAC Region.

  • Reflective session that will encompass what we have taken away from SHAPE so far and how we can leverage our identities to influence our communities.

  • Evening reception at Living Room DC (1008 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20005). Appetizers and a drink will be provided.

Sunday | Forging My Commitments | October 22

  • Coffee to start the day energized and to prepare ourselves to engage with what we have learned through SHAPE.

  • Session to reflect with the people we have met on a new identity we have discovered through SHAPE. This will be a discussion with each other on how we made these discoveries and how we will take them back to our own communities.

  • Remarks to end SHAPE NAC 2023 and share gratitude and goodbyes.

  • After conference programming to share and reflect on the past weekend.
