refugee art show

Refugee Art Expo

DC Shaper Julia Duncan organized an art show featuring art from refugee children that benefits Love without Borders. From Julia:

As many of you know, I have just returned from a trip to Greece where I had the opportunity to work with refugees in 7 different camps. I met an American woman in one camp who has started “Love without Borders,” an organization dedicated to art therapy for refugee children. To date, she has hosted 10 art shows/sales around the world (she’s a flight attendant with United!) with the art produced by the refugee children. The proceeds go directly back to the kids/families in the camp.

With help from the DC Shaper community, this event raised $17,503 for refugee children in need - a huge success. This success encouraged Julia to spin up more art shows around the country and DC!
